Title: Conformational Plasticity and Amyloid Aggregation of Human Serum AlbuminThis project is aimed at understanding the key steps that are involved in protein misfolding and aggregation leading to amyloid fibril formation that is implicated in a variety of human diseases and will involve a variety of techniques in molecular biology, biochemistry and biophysics.
Positions: 1
Duration: 1 year
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in any discipline with good academic record and with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and biophysics as evident from publications. Those who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply.

Title: Role of Small GTP-Binding Protein Arl8 and its Effectors in Regulating Lysosomal Trafficking and Microbial Killing
Given that many diseases result from defects in the lysosomal trafficking pathway and the normal functioning of the lysosome is critical for immunity against wide variety of pathogens, this project is aimed toward understanding a key question of how the Arl8b and its effectors regulate lysosomal trafficking.
Post doctoral Fellow
Positions: 1Duration of project: 5 years
Essential Qualifications: PhD in Cell Biology/Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Immunology with a good academic and publication record. Expertise in cell biology, mammalian tissue culture, molecular biology and biochemistry is required. Prior cell biology and mammalian tissue culture experience will be preferred.
