Pay Scale
|
PAY SCALE Rs. 15,600-39,100
PB-3 Rs. 5,400 Grade Pay Total emoluments excluding T.A. HRA at the
time of initial appointment will be Rs.34,650/-p.m. approximately |

Age
|
Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date.
Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto
Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time
to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of

Essential Qualificaiton (s)
|
A Master’s degree in the Persian language with English
as a compulsory/Elective subject at degree level from a recognized
university or equivalent.OR
B i A degree in the Persian language with English as a
compulsory/Elective subject from a recognized university or equivalent
and
ii Two years’ experience as a Translator/Interpreter in the Persian
language to English/Hindi and vice-versa or in teaching the Persian
language.
OR
C i Bachelor’s degree with English as a compulsory/Elective subject from a recognized university or equivalent and
ii A diploma equivalent to Interpreter-ship standard in the Persian language from a recognized university or equivalent and
iii Three years’ experience as a Translator/Interpreter in the
Persian language to English/Hindi and vice-versa or in teaching the
Persian language.
Note-I The qualifications are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note-II The qualification regarding experience are relaxable at
Commission’s discretion in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled
Tribes in respect of posts reserved for them, if at any stage of
selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that
sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the
requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts
reserved for them. |

i During the period of probation, the persons
appointed shall be required to acquire proficiency in Hindi equivalent
to Matriculation or the Pragya Examination conducted under the Hindi
Teaching Scheme of the Central Government.ii Job requires extensive
touring
