puchd.ac.in Walk-in for the posts of Assistant Professors in various subjects in Panjab University – August 2012


The applications are invited from the eligible candidates, on the prescribed application form, for the posts of Assistant Professors-34 in various subjects in P.U. Constituent Colleges/P.U. Regional Centre/Centre/Institute/Department, to be filled in through Walk-in-Interview, purely on temporary basis for the Academic Session 2012-13 or till the regular posts are filled in through proper selection, whichever is earlier:
Assistant Professors
  • Number of vacancies : 34
  • Qualification : (i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Physically & Visually Handicapped) or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master’s degree level in relevant discipline from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have either cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR OR should have obtained Ph. D. Degree in the relevant subject.
Candidate may Attend interview with Bio-data (ten copies) alongwith original and duly attested photocopies of testimonials, certificates/Degrees in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor on the prescribed date.
